FAQ
WHY THIRD SHOT?
Next time you're watching a match, pay attention to what happens after the serve is returned. You'll be watching the all-important third shot; the shot that really defines the point. It is the third shot that can determine who has the advantage, who has the momentum, who has the chance to win. Thoughtful players take this shot very seriously and are deliberate in how they play it.
At Third Shot Pickleball, we are also careful and deliberate. We are meticulous in designing our programs and in training our coaches. We think our students deserve it.
IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DRILLS AND CLINICS?
Clinics are instructional programs where participants will learn a lot. Each course covers new material and exposes students to new tactical and technical concepts. Clinics are great for those who want to get to the next level but aren't quite sure how to achieve their goals.
Drills are non-stop training sessions run by coaches. Since they are non-instructional, time will not be spent teaching new tactics or techniques. Drills should be thought of as fun and fast practice sessions; they are a great opportunity for those who know what they need to work on and just need the time to practice, practice, practice.
HOW DO I FIGURE OUT MY LEVEL?
Third Shot Pickleball uses the standard self-rating scale. We also have a modified rating system that makes the evaluations specific, measurable and easy to use. Additionally, you can ask any of our coaches what level they think you are.
WHERE DO THE PROGRAMS RUN?
Third Shot Pickleball is based in Collingwood, Ontario. We run programs around the region but often travel to different cities to provide clinics. Find out if we are coming to your city by clicking here.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Third Shot Pickleball clinics are very popular and space is limited. If you cancel your registration more than seven (7) days in advance, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 48 hours in advance, you will receive a 50% refund. If you cancel less than 48 hours in advance of your program start time, no refund will be provided. We do this in order to make sure that program spaces don't go to waste.
